Do you love big bluegill?
Wife's bday, and I got a present from Dick. Thanks Dick! Perfect for weekends excursion at Big Bear Lake for some slabs and gills.

Thanks Tooty. As you know I was trying to imitate the dragonfly nymphs in my pond and I think they turned out pretty good. I'll tell you tying the legs in was the hardest part. I was a little concerned about the pheasant tail I used for the legs cause we know how the gills tend to tear things up so I did make you a couple with rubber legs for you but to me they just don't look as lifelike but I know they will hold up better. If you get a chance give them a try and let me know how they work for you. I used them a couple times in my pond and till them haven't caught a gill so they at least work there being the first gills of the year for me. The grand daughter has caught quit a few gills but she uses earthworms so they do eat live bait and now the RRT dragonfly nymph. Hope they work for you LOL and GOOD FISHIN.......

David lots of people use it for ribbing on flies.
Got mine at netcraft I'll have a picture of it in the dragonfly recipe.
David it's a string looking vinyl that is flat on one side and half rounded on the other.
Mike the body is lead and D rib and lots of sally hansens hard as nails
David next time I tie a shrimp I'll try to do the shrimp tying recipe
