Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Not sure who this is, but the news started to spread of a new record holder for the lake so early in the year. WOW!

I've got the photo of the guy holding "Dotty" up.  She spawned out a couple years ago.  The gent that caught the recent world-record tie over in Japan said that he has seen 30-lbs-class LMBs swimming around.

HER NAME WAS DOTTY SHE WAS OVER 25 LBS BUT SHE WAS HOOKED OUTSIDE OF HER MOUTH. In the state of california it couldnt be counted as a legal catch. she died a whie back. The tie record came from Japan caught on a live Bluegill. But being it only beat it by an once it is a tied record.

Yeah....I can't remember the California lake....but the giant Largemouth was named "Dotty" and it was captured in a documentary how anglers went after her every day during the spawn hoping she would be the world record......

LOL Not certain, but I would say a lot. That thing can probably swallow all the record holding panfish out there. I'm still not certain if that thing is hauled off to be mounted or released. I'm still waiting for some additional info posted. If that thing get released back, it's "Game On" for pretty much all the anglers within that region.
