Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Float tube member, LoKey, Live Well Design

Either to keep the catch temporarily, alive, or haul around your live baits with you on the water. This is a shallow design, using Walmart mesh-cloth basket, PVC, and noodles.

Leo that's my tube minus all the add ons. Still can't figure out how you got my tube being as its in the back barn surrounded by a foot and a half of snow and minus 8 degrees and I know how you like this good old northern temps. When you get done with it send it back to me but leave all the add ons and the live well man my tube is looking better all the time.

I would *never* float tube in waters known to have gators. Or pythons. Or pythons _and_ gators :p

Jeffrey, you got that righ!

Jonathan, you got it! Just make sure you use zip ties, or hand sewn using strong poly lines, all around the entire PVC frame. That will hold up to 150lbs of water weight and fish. When it exceeds 50lbs, the floating basket already goes under if you know what I mean. If you want to give your live baits or catch a bit of a shade, and to prevent them from jumping out, use this to match:

By the way, that's not my tube. That's the member's tube. My tube is a Fishcat 4 and a Colorado's U-boat.

That is really nice!

Is this the basket you used?

How durable is it? I don't want my catch staging a jailbreak, or to hit a snag and watch my fish swim out through the now-perforated bottom. This looks like it would work better than the floating fish basket I usually tow, which tends to get underneath my float tube.

I really like the rod holder, too! It's a bit hard to see how its' constructed and attached, though. Can I get a more detailed photo? :)

Thanks,

Jonathan

What keeps the lid closed? Is it secure?

Neat design Leo......gators can attack the live well first giving me time to escape! LOL
