Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Just found this pic, thought it was worth sharing. The kid was fishing for bass with a plastic worm. I wonder what it weighed? We used to catch big ones in the Salton Sea, but not quite this big!

Yeah Tim, that's right.  But for some reason the tilapia in California's Salton Sea would hit Rooster tails and Mepps spinners, light colored Mr. Twister grubs and other bright flashy small lures.  It was a blast on light tackle.

Cool looking fish.   I've heard it's hard to catch Tilapia on artificial bait.   Lucky Kid!
