Thanks Jeffrey. The lake watercrafts' activities are less and less during the fall and into winter, so, I braved the chance of getting hit by one of them to get to the deeper water for these big boys. The bass chasers indicated there are 2+ lbs crappies in the deep as well. I want to chase it next week.

 

Jeff, you obvious know more about these guys that I do. I'm still a rookie when it comes to panfishes. I like to catch them over the years, but my fish taxomony is extremely limited. Thus, I join these forums to learn more..This forum site just blows my mind away with the knowledge collected under one area, and the experiences people share.

Pretty sure that's a female.  The light coloration, small black ear tab, but I'm not an expert.
