Do you love big bluegill?
The Carolina Pumpkin/chartreuse tail wacky was doing the work .A bite off, two dropped and two caught smallies and a few follow ups.

Thats great, Bruce! 1Big strong Freshwater Smallies, good going! Didn't get on them today. Greg had a smallie and a largemouth, both threw the hook jumping in 67 degree water. I only managed a tiny Pickerel and a Perch on a spoon and some follow up smallies on a Jig/paddle tail combo.
I've landed 2 over 20" in the past several years. One just made 20" and the other a little over 21." Most of them range from 12 to 11 inches. I do my smallmouth fishing on the Juniata River and Susquehanna River, which runs from Ostego, NY, to the Chesapeake Bay. I normally fish between Mount Union and Harrisburg, PA.
Thanks Bruce, we got them 12-15".Going here again today to fish deeper and explore the reservoir again . Hopefully some real big ones .
Great smallmouth.
