Comment by Leo Nguyen on March 5, 2012 at 9:40am: Steve, understand completely about being close to the water. I don't like using net to haul up a fish while on a boat. I always bend down to the water level. With the pontoon and float, I'm pretty much at the water, and simply reel the fish in between the feet rests. The best feeling is being dragged by monsters in the water for a nice long run before they tired out. Truly feel like I'm in the wild water adventure.

Float tubes and pontoons give you a feeling of being close the fish no other vessel will do. Fishing bigger bodies of water, I don't get this boat out much. This photo taken at Chester State Park in South Carolina. It is a 360 acre lake that the Park does not allow gasoline engines. Really quite and peaceful place to fish. Think I feel a little road trip coming up!
