I intend to do a fair amount of creek fishing this year. This creek:

is about 10 minutes from my office and there is a surprisingly little used city canoe ramp on it. In the summer I can go in really early and paddle for an hour or so before work. C&R fishing because of practicality and drainage (not horrible quality, but not as pristine as it looks; about a mile upstream from here drains for the parking lot of a large mall dump into it).

Very nice creek in my area with a wide variety of fish.

Dean has fixed this creek 10 times already. Now, it looks like he will have to fix it again.

Haven't seem the beaver lately, I was hoping it would stay. I have idiot neighbors who broke the beaver dam south of our property and killed one of them. They may have got the other one too.  Or, it went looking for a home.......

It actually rained for 1/2 hour last night. Now the creek is all the way across again. Just a few inches, but up. Fish are happy swimmers.

We have at least one beaver in our creek. It's so shallow you can see it underwater like a torpedo. I will try to get pictures. Anyone know if beaver are noctural?

We have a snapping turtle in a small pool in our creek that is 2' long and 1' wide. He's not a bit afraid of us either. I wish I could have got a picture, but of course he stays under water and is covered with mud.
