Good Fishing In Alabama In Mild Weather 12/2012 2 Replies

I had the tremendous opportunity to do a little fishing while visiting my mother in Alabama. The weather was great, snakes were in hideout mode, the banks were pretty safe. My cousin took me to this…Continue

Got chewed up and spit out by that section of Shaws Creek I've nicknamed "The Widow Maker." 'Bout fell in once, sunk up to my ankles in quicksand and lost three lures to the trees...

Typical day on the creek. I envy you guys with your wide open

fishing holes.

Good spot John. Around here they are starting to bed up, mostly on northeast side of ponds.

Looks like you found a nice peaceful spot.

This photo is not from today but it's a part of the turn on spot 4/6/12.  Gills /Yellow Perch .NE wind .After fishing NW cove ,nothing and SW ramp, nothing ,fish were found at protected SE cove. Fished about an hour there and caught 10 or so Gills and about 4 YP.Fish are reacting a little more to slow movement but deadsticking is getting almost all the fish.No fish on Dardevle Imp,32nd oz. Jig Spin, or 3" Yellow Tube. 32nd oz Red Feather"Jesse" Jig with crawler piece took all fish .

My buddy and I went this morning and the only thing biting was the mosquitoes. Boy were they hungry.  Don't know what the problem is here is south Louisiana but we haven't had any luck in our spots for some time.  Tried crickets and worms, I only caught one small blue cat and a tiny red ear.

We will keep trying however, never give up the good fight.

You make too much sense most of the time to wrastle ...

If I get too controversial, like when I talk about history, I guess I offend people. I know when I have a good topic for a book if a post gets deleted. I don't WANT to be edgy but my fishing belief system just makes it so. I can't turn it off - it's hard to control the power.

Well - lunch is almost over - let's just say at my local fishing show, there were some non-truthful men wearing "Guide Service" shirts over the weekend - it made my skin crawl.

There are plenty of topics to contribute to where I can behave and add some useful information.

Bank fishing is one of my favorite topics in the whole world and a passion. So I will behave and get some good info coming out.

Back to the workbench - lunch break is Oh Ver...

You mean we dont have to wrestle anymore ,Darn Lets find another topic!
