Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Had a great day on the lake today. 23 Yellow Perch and 1 Pickerel. All caught on soft plastic lures. Todays tackle consisted of a pair of Daiwa Midge Direction ultra light rods from Japan. Both have Daiwa JDm Exist 1003 reels, and a custom built G. Loomis SR781-1 slate blank wrapped by my good friend Tedla Morgan from Townsville Australia...matched to a Daiwa JDM Luvias 1003. Same lure style as the past posts, Berkley power grubs and ripple shads and a charlie brewer slider grub. Only difference is the colors for today were junebug chartreuse and smoke. Perch did not seem to mind. Attached are photos of my first 2lb Perch....HUGE for my area.......Weighed on my boga grip....Tad over 15". The pictures are deceiving the fish was so full of spawn it look like it swallowed a navel orange.
