Do you love big bluegill?

MY HOMEMADE BOBBERS MADE FROM PLASTIC EASTER EGGS THAT I HAVENT POSTED YET BUT WILL, CLOSELY RESEMBLE THE " SPIN-O-FLOATS" . I THINK THOUGH I NEED TO EXPERIMENT A LITTLE MORE ON SIZE AND SLIP FLOAT ADJUSTMENTS, I CANT WAIT TO SHOW THEM SOME DAY SOON. :)

That would be an interesting approach. Hm..could it be that you'll be using foam for the additional buoyancy since the egg will sink when water intrudes?

truth is Leo, ive already made six of these and have more on the way. I have them sealed up with marine epoxy with a tiny pink plastic bead inside and two 00 size bearing swivels on each end, but i bought more vintage 1s because I got more experimenting to do. i want to have plenty of fun with them next year, they float like a feather and is crazy to watch em in action when sunfish make them dance.

Ah, found the discussion post! The egg float shouldn't exceed more than 1/2" in diameter if you want to have an effective hookups. However, you've modified the eggs, and probably caught quite a few of them on the float rigs already, so I can't give any more comment that the 1/2" size eggs. I have definitely need to get one or two of your to test out. In the mean time, i will definitely try to test out on my own designs as well.

yes your right on the size and will share some with you soon, i just bought a box of 500 vintage plastic easter eggs that used to come out of small vending machines on E-BAY. i got them because i think there that ideal size you mentioned, plus ill have enough just incase my experimenting doesnt leave me with a pile of eggs. lol!

Try cementing them together with styrene or PVC cement. This will join them and seal them all at one time.

Poly styrene is toxic after UV break it down. Fishes eat them, store in their livers, and we consume them, then store in our in our livers. 50 years before we can get rid of them. We'll probably be dead by then but health issues will occur. PVC cement only has 6lbs of pressure max limit with only 1.5mm contact edge. A bass grabs the hook, yank the line, and the egg will leak, or rather, split like a broken Humpty Dumpty. Super glue can be used to join the eggs' halves, but the the swivels will slip right out. Marine epoxy is the the way to go. Maybe the hard as nail epoxy used for carpentry is the solution? I believe that's what used by the rock sinkers company. Innert and UV resistance after curing.

i cant wait to show everybody leo, it should catch some attention.

Make sure to get the post office to stamp the design to get copyrighted materials for yourself. It may be money making item ij the near future.
Hm..ruthless indeed. Where is the honor of copyrighted material. Love the website. The fishes you posted make me want to move to your neck of the waters.
