Comment by john on February 5, 2021 at 8:19am: i use suffix high vis in the 4 lb range. look around on amazon for the best deal. be carful because suffix makes it in mono also. i use it on all my rods but where i fish its usually 20ft or less.

The tip ups will handle bass, pickerel, pike, musky, etc., you knew know. I jigging reel will handle the same. I'm not sure what to buy. Do they sell braided line for small jigging (spinning reels?

Comment by dick tabbert on January 21, 2018 at 10:09am: Its not hard but hope you have good eyes. You'll need some type of wheels to lay the rod blank on and spin. The finer thread you can used the better it will look but harder to see. The most important thing to remember keep the wraps close and not overlap them.
