Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

The males were back today with their distinct tuxedos.....water temperatures 58 to 60 with a inbound wind tide.........minnow tipped jigs on shallow cover...........we are very close to the Spring Launch..........these are great eaters......

Got a few dink Perch a dink Bluegill and a small Bass from shore  yesterday.Water temp was 47 when i first went midday and I got skunked ,Went back three hours later ,temp was 49 and got my 1st sign of action at the community lake ,Cupsaw . Looking for those mid 50's -mid 60's temps that should turn them on good.

Thanks John.........it was tough to find a few crappie shallow this past weekend but we're very excited about the April calendar........I wont fish the crappie deep again until late this year........we will start catching them in a foot of water very soon......

Thanks Dick........we are just a few warm days from the seams breaking ...........got a coastal storm passing through tomorrow but forecast looks great after that..........
