LEO;; rescently helped me to get 2 more perrinne reels! LOVE these autos !! small in size actually;; and light weight-- not like those pfluger autos ! pfluger auto reels;; 2 times the size and weight as these perrinnes!!

MIKE;; I HAVE 2 ; TFO RODS; IN 3 WT;;  2;; 5WTS;; FORM BASS PRO;;  THEN;; 2 VERY OLD; DAIWA GLASS RODS; FROM THE 70;S ;; IN 8 WTS;;;; I BUMP THE FLY LINE WT. ; UP BY ONE WT;; FOR EACH ROD;; AND THERE IS A PERRINNE REEL;; ON ALL OF MY FLY RODS !!   (  OK;; HERES A HINT -- A PERINNE ; MODEL 87;; IS EXACTLY LIKE A MODEL 57;; ONLY MUCH LARGER; FOR BIGGER LINES WTS;;;  BUT;; IVE ALWAYS FOUND A MODEL 57;; IS PERFECT !!!  AND THESE ARE BUILT LIKE A TANK !! VERY HARD TO BREAK THEM;; BUT A LITTLE;; TLC;; AND THEY WILL LAST 5 LIFE TIMES !!

Now you've got me watching eBay for the Perrines. One might be the just thing to balance a heavier glass rod.

What size rod/line do you have them on?

HEY JOHN;; HERES MY PERRINE REELS;;; MODEL 57;S  AUTOMATIC  REEL;; SUPER FAST LINE REELER !!   JUST BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU TRIP THE LEVER;; IT WINDS LINE UP SUPER FAST !  I HAVE; IN THE PAST'' MADE SMALL BLUE GILL;;; SKIP ACROSS THE WATER ;; WHEN I ACCENDENTLY TRIPPED THE LEVER

I cant really say if these are better quality than the martins;; these shown here are the model 57,s  the ones im most use to.  martins are good quality-- i just havent used ; or seen many of them.  at the last rendevou; i let tooty use one of my perrines;; he seemed to be impressed with it.

thanks very much everybody !  finding  these in good- to  excellent condition;; is hard to do!!   kind of like finding a needle in a hay stack !!  Bruce;; they stoped making these;; around 1968 !!  i just prefer using these-- being able to zip up 15 feet of line to 30 feet;; in a split second!!  i fight any big fish with just the rod
