…i have a feeling your going to get alot of hits on this Mark... its a very popular mono...

even though ive never fished it ive heard some good things about it.

for one its got a great price point.

YES SIR;; I HAVE BEEN USING  THE MR. CRAPPIE LINE;; IN 8 POUND TEST FOR SEVERAL YEARS;; IT ACTS; VERY DIFFERENT THAN MOST MONO LINES..  IT HAS GREAT KNOT STRENGTH;; VERY LOW; IF ANY LINE STRETCH;; EASY TO TIE KNOTS WITH IT.  IT IS A COLORED LINE;; ( YELLOWISH / GREEN ) AND SEVERAL TIMES I CAN ACTUALLY USE IT AS A FLOAT;  ( IF I SEE THE LINE TWITCH; SET THE HOOK ! )  NOT TO MENTION;; AS WE GET OLDER;; ITS A LOT EASIER TO TIE KNOTS WITH; WHEN YOU CAN SEE THE LINE !   IT MIGHT NOT BE AS SENTIVE; AS OTHER TYPES OF LINE; OR AS STRONG;; BUT A EXTREMLY GOOD; OVER ALL LINE ..  I  USE IT WITH MY FLY ROD;; AS WELL AS ALL OF MY SPINNING REELS

Yep. Carl made the believer out of me. I got his original 4lbs, sitting around for nearly 6 months in the dark somewhere, lined up my spools, and landed various sized bass and catfish between 4 to 12lbs+. No breakage. However, make sure to use the simple Trilene knot at minimum to gain literally a 98 to 110% knot strength, or use either the nail or snell knot to gain the full 100% minimum strength. I have the nail knot took, with the 4lbs line, and handled the 7lbs total weight under tension for 5 minutes before it snapped.

LEO !!  ( ((  I DONT CARE IF YOU WERE ASIMILATED BY A BANK OF NASA IBM MACHINES;; YOUR  OK BUDDY !))   SO;; HO WDID YOU LIKE THE MR. CRAPPIE LINE ??   HOPE YOU GO FISHING AGAIN SOON;; YOU NEED THE BREAK !!

So far, so good. A bit of memory in the line after 4 month, but easily straighten out using my stairways. Cheap, strong, and handles a lot of abrasion. Using proper knots, and it goes a long, long way.

HAHAHAHA  LEO;; YOU WANT TO TRY;; THE HOMER CIRCLE KNOT ??  FOR STRENGTH;; IT BEAT; THE PALMER KNOT !!

Homer knot is designed for braid and larger test pound. Light test pound, nope..tried it, and snapped within 80% of the test pound rating.

That Mr. Crappie mono is really cheap.
