( OK;; HERES A HINT -- A PERINNE ; MODEL 87;; IS EXACTLY LIKE A MODEL 57;; ONLY MUCH LARGER; FOR BIGGER LINES WTS;;; BUT;; IVE ALWAYS FOUND A MODEL 57;; IS PERFECT !!! AND THESE ARE BUILT LIKE A TANK !! VERY HARD TO BREAK THEM;; BUT A LITTLE;; TLC;; AND THEY WILL LAST 5 LIFE TIMES !!
Carl,
Now you've got me watching eBay for the Perrines. One might be the just thing to balance a heavier glass rod.
What size rod/line do you have them on?
HEY JOHN;; HERES MY PERRINE REELS;;; MODEL 57;S AUTOMATIC REEL;; SUPER FAST LINE REELER !! JUST BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU TRIP THE LEVER;; IT WINDS LINE UP SUPER FAST ! I HAVE; IN THE PAST'' MADE SMALL BLUE GILL;;; SKIP ACROSS THE WATER ;; WHEN I ACCENDENTLY TRIPPED THE LEVER
thanks Mark !! definitly not new;; but close to it ! very few if any scratches;; and works great !
looks like those babies are brand new! congrats on a great find!
I cant really say if these are better quality than the martins;; these shown here are the model 57,s the ones im most use to. martins are good quality-- i just havent used ; or seen many of them. at the last rendevou; i let tooty use one of my perrines;; he seemed to be impressed with it.
Are these better quality than the Martin automatics?
thanks very much everybody ! finding these in good- to excellent condition;; is hard to do!! kind of like finding a needle in a hay stack !! Bruce;; they stoped making these;; around 1968 !! i just prefer using these-- being able to zip up 15 feet of line to 30 feet;; in a split second!! i fight any big fish with just the rod
They don't still manufacture those, do they? I haven't seen then anywhere.
sweet!... What a great find
