Do you love big bluegill?
Garden all planted and now it's time for some serious bluegill / panfish fishing.
In my raised beds
-----> 18 tomato (8 creole / 6 celebrity / 4 sweet 100 cherry)
-----> 20 squash (golden egg hybrid)
-----> 25 cucumber (dasher 2)
-----> 15 bell pepper (camelot)
-----> 32 okra (clemson spineless)
In hills back corner by fence
-----> 20 cantaloupe (hearts of gold)
-----> 20 pumpkin (cushaw green stripe crook neck)
I usually wait till end of April for okra -- but seems warmer this year.
And I just wanted to have everything planted for April 1st
Also planted 30 blackberry plants (prime ark freedom blackberry)
Crabbing still about 2 weeks away but I'm all caught up on to do list.
Need to get away from the house and spend time on the water now.
And my compost pile is full of big fat earthworms ---- bluegills here I come.
4 / 2 / 2015 just want to add ------> I'm from southeast Louisiana
