Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I was at a local boat ramp early last season, fishing. The area racing-boat club was holding their Spring regatta there, too. Loud engines, fast boats and hot babes.
Oh, yeah.

Once all the boats sped off, things quieted down and the crowd dispersed... and I unleashed a #2 Super Duper on the waters around the ramp.

BANG!!! A nice bass nailed that classic old spoon.

I'd rigged light and the fish put on a nice aerial show. Several of the bikini-clad race babes were still around, and saw the fight.

They ran over to watch. They shrieked and they "ooohed" and they shouted, "Look, he's got a REALLY big one!!"

For a few minutes, one nice Spring day, I was a god.

Great story Scruff..... thanx for sharing.

Hey bro, when you reach my age, stories are about all you have.

Good story! Closest I got was fighting a spec in front of the Hummocks State Park ferry and getting a rail full of bikinis to watch me lose it at my feet.

Were there pictures ? You, the fish, and importantly... 'the bikini clad babes'
Inquiring minds want to know. (grin)

Sadly, no pics.

Probably best to rely on imagination anyway....
Too much trouble comes when evidence is floating around.

The 'trouble' is...

My imagination deletes you from the photo. Fish and Babes... That's it. Sorry friend. LOL

(ps, And at my age... in that order)

No worries - Id only spoil the thing anyways

Closest thing ive experienced David is Mariko Izumi of WFN cheering in the background as I was landing one Peacock bass after another. no pizza and beer either... then i woke up

I hate it when that happens!

I like waking up. Someday I won't and that will kinda suck... :O

Waking up - yes.
Finding it was only a dream - no

X2 On that Andy.....
