Harriburg upstream, Maryville, Ft. Hunter area, mouth of the Juniata and Montgomery Ferry and Millersville. Go with someone who has done it and knows the river...thats what I always did.

Hoping I can load this photo...

Here's the 19.5 in 5 pounder I caught a few winters ago at the Brunner Island hot water discharge in February. Fish hit a Lucky Craft Pointer 100. My heaviest Susquehanna smallmouth to date...spectacular fight!

nice toad and a great overall pic Jim!

Great fish Jim!

Thanks Jim!

nice jim,i do revert to cray fish when they are giving me THE FIN.just hit the shallows and flip rocks.a few streams have hellgies and i never drifted a hellgrammite without it getting eaten by something.caught a large softshell turtle on one that really latched on to my thumb.just aint fishing unless i am getting stung bit pinched cut or stabbed.

HAHA , fishing's a rough sport .

Illegal ,I'm told, to lift rocks and fish Helgies in the Delaware River up in the North PA/NJ/NY area .

could be here too for all i know.sometimes i forget i am an adult and subject to rules and regs .i know helgies are threatened in some watersheds so thats maybe the reason.always heard a stream was healthy when they are present

john just tell the game warden its a super realistic fly.

look at all of these big ones!!  super nice smallies!

Hey Thanks Carl!
