Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Most crappies were caught on a 1/8 jig with 2" shad colored Berkley power minnow. The bluegills were caught on micro shotting the pink Gulp Maggot over the same mud or soft bottom flat as yesterdays gills. huge fly hatch going on and the gills were all over the water column.in all depths... tough to nail down so i went after crappies which were responsive. afternoon of fishing was short lived by a line of thunderstorms.

Great slabbing fun. Plenty of suspended bodies for a grand time.
