Tried the hopper got quit a few bits something I haven't been doing much of what hurt is the stocking I did this spring and the ones I put in a couple weeks ago. They are small and I think its to big for them to inhale.

i am guilty of throwing live frogs in the water and what usually unfolds is brutal.i had 2 7-8 inch gills swallowed by bass as i was trying to steer them out of a brush pile yesterday.that were much bigger than the one i caught.thought they were gonna break my fly rod.they spit both gills and both were crushed and lifeless.my son could not get these bass to hit anything.

Interesting my fish won't take top water mater fact no artificial but I threw in a live hopper it didn't last 10 seconds. I guess next time I get out there I'll have to try out a few of my grass hoppers and hope I can make it look lively and looks close enough to a hopper they will hammer it..
