Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I got into fly fishing about 5 years ago and have really started to fish more and more with the fly rod, especialy the last couple of years. I have recently began thinking about tying my own flies, and I wanted to hear what you all thought.

Do you tie your own flies to save money? Do you actually end up saving money after investing in equipment, material, etc.? Or is tying your own flies just something that helps you enjoy the sport more? I fish a decent amount for trout as well (and use a much larger variety of flies), so let me know if that makes a difference.

its a toss up if you tie flies that catch fish your saving if you just rap thread your losing
There's such a great feeling after tying and or creating your fly and then catch fish with it, ya just get hooked. It's just a great hobby to have and very fulfilling when you see what you can create
That makes a lot of sense and kind of what I was expecting. Thanks everyone for the responses.
