DON'T KNOW ABOUT ANYONE ELSE , I'VE BEEN READY FOR SPRING SINCE WINTER STARTED HERE !!!!! I used to relish winter and never minded snow either. But this cold we've seemingly been having for months has worn out it's welcome and we need some sun and warm temps for sure !!!!!!!

Can't wait for March to come around, got a new rod/reel set up ready to go. Gonna be a lot of fried BG this spring.

Hold on there buddy don't wish your life away. It will be here soon enough.

I completely understand!

Just yesterday, I was on the TKF board, and some fellow kayakers are already targeting White Bass in various rivers and creeks in Texas.  The fish are still staging, but it is beginning..........

Johnny, do you tie your own trout flies????  IF you do, DEFINITELY go Turkey hunting!  Lots of good feathers on a turkey.

Our White Bass run is in April should be some monsters this year out of the Maumee River.

Stay calm fellows, spring's a comin! Been a great winter for fishing, the best I've seen in recent memory. But, all good things come to an end, winter included.

I'm tapping sugar maples tomorrow, as the forecast is calling for a warmup. Maple syrup time!

Don't tell Leo!  Last month he dropped the better part of a c-note for a gallon of some primo maple syrup.  He swears by that particular small brand, says it's something about that particular stand of trees, and the sugar-master that produces the syrup.

i make a fish recipe usally with walleye ,but i suposse other fish would work ,we make a sauce called maple ginger and pour it over the cooked fillets, its really good

I suppose your cooking up some of them Erie Walleyes. I never herd of it before but it sounds good especially since I'm suppose to eat more fish and chicken Doctors orders and I need different way to cook the fish and chicken you eat so much you get tired of it so you have to change it up. I'll see if I can find that sauce and give it a try THANKS Ron.

If you get into any Walleyes, make a breading mixture, where the final coating is a mix of panko bread crumbs and finely minced Walnuts.  Dredge the fillets in seasoned flour, egg wash, the panko-Walnut mix, and pan-fry until done.  You can really set the fillets off by topping them with a compound butter that has a little bit of orange juice and some orange zest in it.  I used to do that up at the country club I worked at in Michigan.

Another good recipe for your walleyes. Get a can of condensed orange juice put a thin layer in the pan. Lay fillets on the juice. Get an orange and grade the orange peel on the fillets. put in oven till flaky and good stuff. Salt and eat away. Didn't really sound that good but when I made it up it was actually a good. Its just another way to cook the walleyes and they taste good.

wow I didn't read your post all the way but Allen you already know about it, good stuff.
