Do you love big bluegill?
Completed Grasshopper recipe. I had brown thread on my Bobbin so I used it instead of changing it out so the only change will be a thread change. Waiting for foam them I can build some for spring time fly fishing.

Yea allen we got browns, grays and greens. I got 1 or 2 colors of each color they had. No grays but I'll experiment with a marker. We do have lots of the yellow looking hopper not as brite as the one's I made though. Thanks for the info Allen.
Remember, grasshoppers come in a wild variety of colors. You might want to try different, darker, colors, like a dark brown / black combo, grey / brown combo, etc. Keep track what what the grasshoppers in your area look like through the season. Here, they usually start off as a bright green, start to turn yellow at the height of summer, turn a yellowish-brown in late summer, and finally brown/grey through fall into early winter (I have seen 'hoppers in December here in Okieland).
Thanks James
Thanks Allen I'll try both threads.

Dick, that is a great-looking Hopper! I'd keep the brown thread, makes it look more real, IMHO.
