Nice looking water Rex

Thanks for the insight. You are right about worm shy in this area, since the overhangs provide a sustainable resource of drowned insects, rather than worms. The bank area is too dried to support worms, and most of the shady and damp spots are water logged, and worms do not like that environment. Insect is the best bet. No wonder your hoppers got a massive invite to the lunch table.

Leo, this lake is in the Talladega national forest.  It's not well know and is only accessible with lightweight boats such as kayaks. Most that fish it never come back after chunking huge bass lures and not catching anything.  It has a health gill population that is shy to the old worm and bobber, but ready eats my flies.  I've also caught catfish and some nice bass out of here all on flies. I love it when someone tells me, "yeah. I've fished that lake before...theres nothing in it."   They have to go away wondering why I'm grinning so big while they're telling me that.

Great shot! Is this a region? It appears like a hidden jewel of a spot, but primed for fishing pressure because of the accessible trail on the left.
