Do you love big bluegill?
Im sure some of you know about the czech nymphing way of fishing for trout, im curious..have any of you tried this on bluegill in rivers or even in ponds or lakes with the nymph suspended under a strike indicator??
Those of you who aren't familiar with this technique to sum it all up is basically you use a heavily weighted caddis or scud fly and drift it through pocket water for trout in fast flowing water, the heavy fly is to get in the strike zone faster..
I think it would work for gills under an indicator driftin it by structure and what not.. Any thoughts??

Yep, would be my answer. I've caught 'em using the highstick nymphing method and the Czech style is the same. Give it a try and report back.

Nymph fishing for Bluegill is one technique that works well with a tenkara rod. I currently use a Sawyers Killer Bug with a small Thingamabobber as a strike indicator. The technique is more of a high stick method where you try to keep most of the line off the water.
