Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

1st time on my Kayak and this is my 1st fish. Never being on a Kayak before is a lot different from a Boat. But anyway caught this girl on a #12 Green spider pattern.

I love my Hobie. Kayak fishing, its awesome I remember the first fish I caught from mine.
I was tossing one of my home made Micro Sliders, with twist tail grub... chartreuse.
It was a macrochirus punctatus, a spotted sunfish. I was tossing the Slider up to the bank and working it back slow. I wasn't expecting that fish to hit it so hard and I nearly dropped the rod.

Great time on the yak! You're going to have more and more fun to fan the water soon, and explorer areas where boats can't.

it might be the first one; but I bet many more will be caught  while in that yak!
