Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I haven't fly fished very much for Blue Gills... I have dabbled in it from time to time.
I have some decent gear and lots of flies but I was wondering where should I put my fly at certain times of year.

Pre spawn... On Top... In the Middle... on the bottom

Spawn... On Top ... In the Middle... on the bottom

Post Spawn... On Top... In the Middle... On the bottom

Summer... On Top... In the Middle... On the bottom

Fall... On Top... In the Middle... On the bottom...

I would appreciate any input you may be able to give me

pre spawn i start deep, and work my way up,of course if you see a lot of top water chatter work the top.
if i am fishing the spawn i look for movement in the shallow water, some times the fish are on the beds and still with no movement ,a top water will help find these fish. roll a top water slider on a bream bed and you will get a strike almost as soon as it hits the water if they are feeding, after taking a few the action useualy slows down. that is when i switch to a nymph and start in the deep water off the bed,but a top water will help you find the fish on the beds fast.
i love to fish the top,but i always start deep post spawn, unless there is top water chatter going on,
i would say i take 75% of my fish on nymphs.
