Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

i like to make my own jigs if possible ,and am considering making tungsten ones .does anyone know how to attach the hook permanently .can you solder them ?if you get the rings ,do they fit over the hook point or barb?then if you do use the rings how do you keep them in place ?there are many sources of small tungsten weights but not sure if it is practical to make my own or not.

I think many of the tungsten jigs out there are done just like leadhead jigs; they are molded.

You can buy different sizes of tungsten beads that will slip over a hook's point; they are used in fly fishing.  Most folks secure them by tying enough thread onto the hook behind the bead to lock it in place.

there is a way to use the beads to make the jig or fly more horizontal.i am working on some of these my self.cannot get pics from my phone or email on here.gonna try and get a new camera today so ican show every one.basically you put a bead on a straight pin and lash it to the hook with the bead on pin in front of the eye.i would use brass pins if you can find em
