Nothing conclusive Greg. I know this exact same request for pro-staffers appears on at least one other fishing website, where a member asks what the job pays....

And I quote: "For your first few months you get 5-6 packs of plastics of your choice, totally free, totally custom (color, scent, flake, softness) . You also get $1 for every pack you sell to a friend, family, etc."

This last part hints to me of a more commercial nature, although that is just speculation on my part. To my knowledge, BBG exists through generosity, not  sponsorships, and until I hear differently from Bruce, I will be leery of having BBG become a platform for a commercial enterprise. Of course, decisions such as these reside on Bruce's shoulders.....as mods, we simply try to implement his policies.

I can't say that anything I've discovered so far hints at any wrongdoing, it just raises more questions, for me at least. Until I hear more from someone, I will continue to advise caution....remember that old saying: "If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is"   If any member decides to pursue this, I would appreciate any feedback you could offer.

Thanks Tony, I am not really into plastics as you know!!!! But thought I would ask!!! Your last QUOTE came to mind when I read this!!!!!!

BIGBLUEGILL RULES!!!!!!!

Not California?  Darn!

Or Arkansas, and I'm the one with the crappy cabin, my boat came from Horseshoe Lake which is the only place in Arkansas that the daily limit is 50 for crappy, have 40 years experience catching crappie with a fly rod, I guess living across town from Southern Pro Lures doesn't help.       LOFR

wow glad i don,t live that close to southern pro,i buy aton of it already.and i mostly fly fish

Hi PJ from NJ, Hope you find who you are looking for. I for one have a full time job, a small farm, large pond (managed by me) and love to fish. Another job would take time away from most of those activities not to mention my kids and grandkids. But Just as a quick note, I have caught at least thousands of crappie (probably over 10,000) as well as bass, and bream. I would make a suggestion to you that your soft bait have a rainbow trout( very close to the shad assain 1.5" color). It has been a killer for me cold, hot, cloudy, sunny, windy, calm. As well the way one ties on a jig head can be critical to ME catching fish and you right beside me, same spot and catch nothing or very few. I have seen it to many times. I could go on and on, but I think you get the idea. Size, color, line size and type, as well as knot type are important. Good luck and I will be glad to talk with you or anyone else for that matter if you like, FOR FREE.

Thanks Tony..... keep us posted please.

What no, SC?

Well crap, I'm no expert at this stuff! Guess that leaves me out... sigh

ONE of the best things about this site is the generosity factor with NO ADS!!!!! Thank you Bruce!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amen sista! When you visit a site that has an extremely high bandwidth, without the ads to supplements the maintenance income of the website, that is one site you want to hold onto because of the dedication of the site's owner (in this case, owners) to the love of art.

I think I will pass on this offer P.J.,as I do no meet the all stringent requirements.  To me, "the first few months" is a relative term, depending on which end of the stick you are holding. I guess I am sometimes too cautious, but that's just my nature.  Some of the biggest reasons I come to Big Blue Gill is to relax, learn, and hopefully once in a while, be able to give some good advice or ideas to my fellow members. I wish you good luck in finding your Pro staffers.
