The fish have been here Jim.....trying the different baits/techniques and exploring new water on the same rivers has paid big dividends......Take "Big Flatty" for example...I've only fished it three times in 2012 and caught great fish every time in totally different conditions. Any of these rivers could support me full time but I move around on purpose and believe that accounts for my sustained success in this region.....Would you believe I have 17 more places to go within 60 miles of my house that I haven't fished yet....Just studying charts and listening to leads.....

I close the hook back with pliers....I just happened to take this photo after a big bowfin hit it....I've had to adjust the hook several times thus far....

HEY JEFFREY, LOOKS like the hook is bent open . Do you do that to be able to put crickets on ?

The amount of quality sized gills you are catching this year is unbelievable!
