Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

My Dad-n-law is the best 'Gill fisher I know. He used to give the ice fishing report on the radio here, in the 70's. He's caught more panfish than I can imagine. He's my fishing buddy, got a wife outta the deal can't beat that ! When he comes back up from Fla in a month or two, will hook'em up here. steve b

Oh.. to improve my survivabiltiy..my Lisa, can out cook anyone, anyhwere, anytime, burp ! We pulled the last of the steelhead filets outta the freezer, marinated and grilled them over the weekend. Can only feel sorry for you poor folks out there, burp ! steve b
My fishing schedule... wack a bunch of steelhead now thru April, then on to trout camp in Penn, mid-April. Then BLUEGILLS ! You ? steve b
that is ok Steve,i am going to fry up some chinks, gills and gator tonight, and make a catfish couvieau and a pot of rice, the wife will make a tader salid, hot tader salid,.
oh i forgot about the hushpuppies, can't have a fish fry down here without hushpuppies.
ya'll don't cath all those fish ,and post some pictures for us.

gator eats pretty good
OK,while my life has been spent in the "snow belt" in far N.E. Ohio'er, my stomach is more comfortable southa the Mason/Dixon. Sooo.. gotta ask, whats catfish couvieau ??? Come on, spill it ! steve b
fish couvieau a fish gravy ,usually red we cook it with just about any fish but catfish is best, spotted cat (flat head) is the best. a favorite is to take a big spotted d cat (40/50 lbs )and butcher the head cut it up with the meat left on the bones and cook a couvieau ,some good.you can make a good couvieau with frogs too,we skin the whole bull frog cut the head just back of the eyes, take off the legs and fry them and make the couvieau with the rest of the frog .it is not mugh a cajun can'tmake a good sauce with.

gators make a good sauce too
Hush puppies ? Your KILLING me ! Have family in Va were I get mine when lucky. My 'puter skills lacking, me'n digital cameras don't get along. Can tune the action on a Ruger SA, but me'n and 'puters..well.. sorry. Have had gator a few ways, interesting, how 'bout BBQ ? steve b
BBQ gator is not bad if it is not to old,i too do my own gun work and have trouble getting this d@#*& puter to do what i want, endevaor to presevere Steve.

gators have tails
I try to save my endeavoring and persevering for fishing and not waste them on 'puters and such ! steve b
well Steve that puter is a great tool,i have never played a game on mine i just do not have time ,to busy huntin&fishin.
but i have learned a lot even at my age about both on sites like this, and if i can learn to get around on this thing i am sure you can and will.
