Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

To bluegills that is.Love to catch them and eat them.

I really like this site, but I don't understand how it works.I make fly rod lures of balsawood.I enjoy fishing for all fish, but the members of the "Sunfish Family" are what I enjoy the most.I'd like to show some

of my work and some of my catch.

This is where I started 24 years ago,with poppers.I make these in #14   - 10/0.

I would like to send more, but I can't seem to be able to upload any more photos.

Any advice??

Charlie, do you fish the poppers straight or do you tip them with live bait???

No, theres no live bait involved.

Those are beautiful, Charlie. Works of art.

x 2. Nice popper!  What is that material for the popper? Balsam good for styrofoam?

Nice poppers, great work

That's great work and lots of it when you start with balsa stock....carving, sanding, primer, paint, feathers,....you are the man!
