Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Hey Guy's,

Fished a new spot on a slow section of a river today. All other lakes and ponds in Western NJ have ice to thick to launch a boat through and not safe enough to walk on. Prior to today I had only bank fished this area. Today fellow member Noel Sell and I fished it from my 12' Aluminum v-hull. We had a great day 29 yellow perch and 1 pickerel for me, 24 yellow perch and 1 pickerel for Noel. All fish were caught on Berkley power grubs, ripple shads or Brewer Slider grubs. Slow roll type retrieve with an occasional pause or twitch. Tackle consisted of G. Loomis trout rods. 2 TSR801-2 Daiwa Exist native custom 1003H combos and my TJR782-2 GL2 Exist 1003 for me. G. Loomis TSR 790-1, TSR 791-1, TSR740-2 and SR782-2 GL3 for Noel with a mix of Daiwa Certate 1003 and 1500 reels. Awesome day on the water.......

Please let me know when the panfish start firing in Maryland.....The offer of a trip in NJ is still on the table as well. JUst drop me a line and I wil give you my cellphone number.
