I noticed that the Petco chain of stores usually carries wax worms for feeding critters. They are around 50 to a box.

Chain pet stores? Well, how about that!

I have some important information that I would like to add about wax worms. These are my go-to for tipping jigs.

When you use wax worms please be extremely cautious that none are allowed to escape. I seen one instance where a fisherman tossed the left over worm from a snuff can into the weeds because he knew he wouldn't have time to get them used .

The wax worm is a stage of developement of the beemoth  .If these things get in a bee hive they can reproduce there and can destroy a hive . Our bee population is on shaky ground as it is.   I feed mine to bluegill one at a time. lol . Mike

Interesting, I never knew that.

Thanks.
