i fish in the green-sullivan area of indiana, good luck at sullivan lake this year, plan to go back soon,i live in laporte county, retired today 4/5/11
Congrats on that retirement there John. I think Laporte County might be close to Cook County here in Illinois. I'm always looking for good fishing near Chicago. Be sure to alert us all about good fishing near you.
have you tried willow slough?
John, I have been going to green-sullivan area for close to 30 years, one of my faavorite places to fish.  Calvin, no I haven't fished willow slough would like to sometime.

I work in Terre Haute and live halfway between Indy and Terre Haute. I fish all over this part of the state but have to agree that the state fishing areas to the west (mostly the pits) are great fun!

La Porte ,In has stone lake, clear lake, pine lake, lillylake ,fish trap lake all either in the city or two to three minutes from the city, google them. I also have a cabin in Sullivan,In and would host a small get together to anyone wanting to try that area, can easily sleep up to 8, two bed room & loft.how ever we would need to set a date

John,

congrats on the retirement, enjoy it. I'm hoping to be down to the pits around the end of May or middle of June. That is if it ever dries out.
