Thank you for the welcome.Im so glad i found this site, ilove to fish but bluegills have always been my favorite to catch, since i was a kid. This site is so big so ill be on it everyday. Plus ill be posting some pics of my catches this past summer, so to you and anyone reading this, hit me up and we can talk about some big blues.
Thanks for tyhe warm welcome. I have loved "pan fishing" all my life and carry a small pole in my truck to plink around bodys of water I may happen across driving around my state (Fl). Bluegill is the main fish we get but my favorite is the little "Stump Knocker" or spotted sunfish. These things are small but pull harder than any other pan fish I know. I have 4 live ones in a stock tank for putting in my pond later. I am going to try to get up to North Florida this spring to pick up some "Hand Painted Bluegill" if I can. I just love all thing panfish and I am even making my own tiny spinnerbaits. I am looking forward to learning a lot on this site and thanks again for the welcome. Glad to be here!!!
Hello Dick, I have been out a couple times, went over to Lake Erie for Bluegill did OK, had a good dinner from there. Yes next year we will have to get out, I would like to get back over to Cold Water in the spring. Maybe we can get out on the ice when it comes in. Talk to you later, have a good day.
Hi Dick I am doing good. Thanks for your concern but just been busy fishing and working. Bluegill season is over for me at the moment and I have moved on to catching walleyes. Hope you are doing well also. talk to ya later.
Thanks for the words of welcome. I just sent a message to all members with my opening comments thinking I was adding a comment to the board. I'm new to posting on any web pages so please forgive the mistake.
I haven't had the pleasure of using Ultra lite fly equipment yet, but I plan on getting into rod building and fly tying this winter. I plan on a 6'6" 2wt, 7'9" 3wt, and a 9' 4wt for my first builds.

Nice bunch of Crappies you're catching .My catchingest crappie lures are white Bucktail jig /red collar and a Bomber 4f Crankbait.
Thanks for the warm welcome!!. I live in the Lake Geneva area and have stumbled across this site. I was out yesterday and could not find a bite. Currently , I am chanign out the treble hooks on the Swedes for the single hook, like Mod suggested. I am not sure how the new hook goes on to make sure it faces "up"
Thanks for the welcome Dick. I'm glad to be here and excited for the fall season. Just picked up a 12' flat bottem for the local ponds around. Hope to post some pics soon.
Thanks! I am a full time saltwater fishing guide, things slow down once the kids go back to school so I spend a fair amount of time in the fall freshwater fishing. It isn't prime time, but still pretty good. At least we can cath them in January, Jim
thank you for the welcome....i am new at bluegill/crappie fishing. very new!! i have bass fished for a lot of years, but want to slow it down a bit and relax while fishing. i also love to eat fish.......and none better than bluegills and crappie! thanks again
Hey Dick! Thanks for the warm welcome. Lifelong bass fisherman, but love to panfish too. The older I get, the more I appreciate bein' an "opportunity" fisherman. And 'gills, seeds, shellcrackers, greenies and fliers sure provide "opportunity"!

Thank You for the warm welcome. I hope to learn some things and share some things about the activity that makes me VERY happy. I live 10 minutes from Kentucky Lake and 5 minutes from Lake barkley here in Dover Tennessee, so the more information I can absorb here will allow me to put it to good use. I am looking forward to meeting some great folks on here and making new friends. So if your ever in the area, and would like to fish,.............boat has gas, pfluegurs are full of line, fillet knife is sharp.................I am Blessed, Thanks again, Brett
Thanks for the welcome, Dick. I've been more of a saltwater guy up to this point (inshore) but am currently boatless and just re-discovered how much fun fresh water fishing is. Doing it mostly out of an Old Town Discovery 11'9" solo canoe. I look forward to learning here. Already have, some. We print fish for a living. Attached is a sample of our work.black%20crappie.jpg
