Bill -Yes a  ridiculously warm Spring should be a boon year for weeds here in the East as well !

Sharon try a truck winch for those big battles with sticks and tree limbs.

It should be a good season for In-Weeds......many sunny days and warm weather in the 70-80's here in northern IL......you may need to dedicate a few issues to the mid-west!

Caught a nice one today. 24" Broke my fishing pole, again. It was already half a pole, now it's 1/3 of a pole. Anyone know what won't break or bend in a pole? I like short poles, but this is a little bit too short.

The In -Weeds Magazine staff would like to express their sincerest condolences to 8"Bluegill Sharon for the loss of her prized spincasting reel .The deceased reel is survived by several sibling reels that will never stop avenging thier kins death and will hunt down these destructive stick monsters that ruin fisherpeoples lives!

However, congratulations is certainly in order for surviving  the exhausting battle and coming out victor over the stick monster! Congratulations 8" Bluegill Sharon !

Ok, after a week of mourning, I have recovered enough from the loss of my favorite reel to this monster:

It was a terrific fighter, held onto the bottom of the pond like it had suckers on those branches, but I got it. Everyone please throw a line out in honor of my poor dead reel.

In Weeds Magazine Exclusive : " BIG WEED GETS AWAY ,DESTROYS REEL'.... 8"Bluegill Sharon, owner of the reel is too upset to comment at the moment .In time we hope to get the full story of how a world class  weed or was it a trophy stick ? ,mangled the reel.

Ice Fisherman dont despair!!, weeds can be caught through the ice .Granted it's a sad time for us when healthy green weeds die off in late fall but ice weeds are a great find and will even hold incidental catches of Fish . Please show off  your weed pics here and the  In Weeds Magazine staff will be happy to make astute comments !
