Last statement is true if you're using Firefox version 11. Not so with version 8 or older. So, make sure to update your web browser people! If you're using Fire Fox, update to version at

http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/

Fire Fox version 11 helps with the forum's text editor that you're using to type up your responses, along with PHP code stability. I.E. version 9, or beta version 10, won't cut it.

Hey Bruce, I notice something different in the past week. Did you manage to update the text editor or its coding? I noticed that you don't have to click on the HTML button to invoke the HTML codes in order to post with proper formatting. Rather, I just format the way that I want to, such as pressing Enter key twice, and I get my double space, and just post. No more formatting nightmare like before.

Jonathan, all browsers have cookies security holes. Any server housing a log-in account that you're using can grab all cookies in your temporary folder as raw *.txt/*.tmp files. The one good thing about FF is FF encrypts its cookies in a profile file, which prevent a cookies grab by servers/hackers. I.E. haven't done it yet. Chrome is still way too simplified with its private cookies mode, in comparison to FF, until the program exits and clear all cookies content, if the user selects the option that is. However, most users are oblivious to such clearing options, and ended up as victims to hidden trojans/malwares that grab their browsing files, and create havocs. But..that's a whole different tech side..BBG may go nuts and paranoid if I bring that tech aspect into the picture..hahahahaha.

I think I owe Leo a gift certificate.

Leo, doesn't Chrome have some cookie security issues? I only use Chrome on trusted sites (mostly only internal to my company, although I'm using Chrome at the moment on BBG). NotScripts is a reasonable Chrome workalike of NoScript, but there doesn't seem to be an equivalent to the Firefox Cookie Monster plugin, probably as a result of Chrome's cookie handling. For the general Internet, even though Chrome is much, much faster than FF, I use FF because it has better security, at least when using Cookie Monster + NoScript.

This kind of stuff in why I'm so glad I quit doing web sites back in the nineties :p

Sorry for turning BBG into a tech forum lol

Dick, for FireFox, you either use Private Session for your we surfing session, ot you didn't turn on your History saving session. Normally, FireFox default with Private Session which will clear out everything each time you use it. You can switch to custom mode and retain your History without cleaning it out. This will retain your password for yhe future revisit. Let me know if you need help with it.

Opera is lacking quite a bit of security, similar to I.E. due to PGP encryption. Google Chrome is a good alternate to FireFox, but I.E. is a lost cause. We have no choice but to use it because so many lazy servers out there still uze Microcrap software.

I have been using OPERA as my browser, so far so good. I quit firefox cause every time you close out you have to use your password.

Well it's fixed good enough for me cause I can interact again.

Instaling a new browser to take care of one problem will not take care of the rest. You merely slap a bandaid on it.

Rather than using an advanced editor to post text, simply use a less advanced version. Advanced version allow text formatting at higher capability, but also result more browser incompatibilities. This is the reason why I have 6 different browsers for my computers and mobile device for testing purposes. I do design website as a side hobby. Changing text editor is done through the Settings for each user profile, but I believe BBG is set as default for advance text editor.

This is the only thing I see wrong so far. Other sites have the same issues, but the user has the option to set the editor in accordance of their needs.

By the way Bruce, I also notice the chat add-on tends to put the web browser like I.E and FireFox on a pause loop until the chat history and current user's connection are fully loaded. Try to disable the chat a few days and see if it resolves the issue. The chat add-on may need some revision.
