Fishing the fall in oh.

My husband and I are fishing a private lake, the gills have really slowed. Any suggestions on how to entice them?

I hear guys saying there are still big gills in mogadore, and sometimes they'll post pics at mogadore bait, and tackle. I think that the weeds are too thick making it easier for small gills to hide. The predators can't thin them out like they need to. Portage lakes used to produce huge redears, and they were easy from shore. but not right now. My son and I caught some that were fish ohio size 9"s, from a boat in mud lake, off of turkeyfoot.

Around here meaning OH? I am in TX. We are leaving now for our first private pond fishing trip. Hopefully, there are some bigger bluegill in there other than the babies we put in.

My husband And I fished Mogadore Resivior for years until a couple
years ago. The fishing just died. Plenty of small ones, but no keepers
as far as bluegill. We now fish a private lake in Norton Oh. Lots of fish
ohios,9-11". With the weather changing they have really slowed. I'm trying to find out what bait & depth I should be fishing now?
