With all due respect!
isn't this in contrast with the rules for this site / blog that you have 'reiterated" so many times?
Also I'd like to ask a very generalized question about bluegills. Where can I post a question…"
"That striper was caught near the CBBT (Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel), fishing live eel off of a boat and near the pylon structures. We also caught another that was 54 1/2 lbs. That is the one my brother in law is holding in the pic. The one…"
"John, looks like you had a great day o' fishin. I'm still struggling with the freshwater catch. I can relate to you saying that you caught a 'dink' bass. but the lil bass I caught a couple of weeks ago, could be considered bait.…"
"It does vary by state. it also varies by the type of water. We have WMA lakes, as well as those that are city owned, State owned, and US gov owned waters (like in a national park). The laws can be the same or different as well as different…"
"Hi JWinpisinger and thank you for your interest. I would think they would be as good as the commercial jigs out there simply because I made them for myself and want them simply to hold up, 95 percent of all my fishing is done with jigs. After they…"
"Tom, I do not say this very often. But you are a blessing yourself. A magnificent thing you have done. I myself actually got started fresh water fishing because by neice and nephew had never fished salt water. So though i am the novice, I take them…"
"I've had pretty good luck with small minnows. Also the last time out I bought a panfish "kit" which had some very small plastics and spinners. The Gills attacked them. The down side is that I was spending money on something that kept…"
"As an afterthought, I started to fish freshwater because I have nephews and nieces who have only fished fresh water. This end of day releasing of the crickets came to me as a way to lighten up a bad day of fishing. No matter what happens during the…"
"I admit that i am a novice with freshwater fishing. Even I have had some success with catching bluegills with minnows and crickets. I guess it is the kid in me, but I get a kick out of putting a criket on a hook and plopping him on the water with a…"
Hi JWinpisinger and thank you for your interest. I would think they would be as good as the commercial jigs out there simply because I made them for myself and want them simply to hold up, 95 percent of all my fishing is done with jigs. After they are tied I put at least 6 half hitches in them and coat the thread with head cement or some other finish on the tying thread. I'm always looking for good jig patterns for crappies so maybe down the road you'll see some new and different jigs.
You can get one of these little boats at Academy Sports. They carry the trolling motors and batteries, and everything else you will need to rig the boat out. You will not regret getting one of these little boats, it is so handy to just drop in the back of your pickup.
No special 'set up' of any kind JW....Just a ordinary,"run of the mill" point and shoot with the capacity for close-up macro photography and an 18x zoom built in zoom lens...a Panasoninc Lumix DMC-FC18.....certainly not one of your "high end" Cannons or Nikons(which are nice for sure but really don't need one for decent images) plus you don't have to change lenses all the time....this camera has worked well for me for years allready.....more important for a good fish photo is ...lighting....composition....very little "blur"....and numerous other details....which all add up to a decent photo
