Do you love big bluegill?

The RBS were all over baby crawlers and meal worms and even Trout nibbles today at this spot .The stocked Trout were ridiculously small and less pugnacious .Caught three Rbows and Greg got one . Released two kept one that was bleeding from Wanaque River and kept another from Ramapo river ,we fished later . .6 species of small panfish; RBS,White Perch, Crappie, BGill, Pseed ,Trout

Jim , I hear ya. The Furunculosis fish kill last year must have really messed things up .That and the very low water does not make for a good Fall Trout fishing . Maybe I should try the nearby New York streams !

I like pan-fried trout. But like you, John, I like to see some decent sized fish in the stockings.

Good show, however!

Trout eat up well. What I like about them you wash them off gut them get rid of the heads fry them up and there ready to go. You can't even tell the scales are on them.
