Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

The gill bite slowed but I still managed a few good ones to go with a solid Crappie bite.......

Very fortunate Jim......brackish estuaries like the Albemarle Sound in coastal North Carolina are some of the most fertile fisheries in the nation supporting such a wide spectrum of fresh and salt water species......something is in play year round......next will be the Yellow Perch run as we call it here......spawning in January through early March......I'm still learning to catch the yellows consistently......

Thanks Dick and Jim.......you could count the sunfish bites this weekend on two hands but the ones that hit were pretty nice gills.....
