It's made out of Marabou, bead chain eye and black chenille and at the thread tie off I used black dubbing with a little flash. Its suppose to be a great late season Gill getter, that remains to be seen yet. It's suppose to sink slow so now I have to learn how to fish a wet fly so I guess I'll have to buy some different line.

Have not fished it yet Jeffrey....prairie breezes are too strong right now for flyrods

That's a good looking tie Jen...I like that pearl bead presentation....Have you fished it yet?

That looks GREAT Dick, what is your body material? You can use anything you want to make a wing...flashabou, feathers, biots....there's so many ways to go. On the peacock fly I took the peacock eye & layed it on top of stitch witchery then used rubber base cement to stick it to the witchery. Let it dry, cut it out & attached to the body.

Here's my last fly called the Rubber Legged Dragon maybe Jen Nay Jedi can show or tell me how to wing it. I don't know anything about wings yet.

I think the wings would look good on it.

Vince, sure is. It appears exactly like the soldier flies and beetles we have around our areas. I will definitely make a few of these to fish near shore for friends to try out.

That looks deadly, Jen! I like it!

No Dick I created this sunday trying to improve on my Naybee. Haven't gotten to fish it yet so don't know if will be as durable. Leo this will sink slow because the pearl is hollow. I wll fish it on a sinking line.
