Very nearly seven inches. I feed Purina Aquamax 500 once a day, every day, from about mid March through October, or early November, depending upon the water temps. I feed by hand, and the amount varies. Fish are a lot like us, in that they have periods where they are very hungry, and times when they're not. A mechanical feeder just can't adjust to that, as it throws the same amount every time. I let the fish tell me how much they want.

Hybrid Bluegill growth can be astounding for the first year, to year and a half. And, within any group of fish there will be those individuals that display quicker growth than the rest...."shooters", as they are sometimes called. Those fish will amaze you, and in the case of a Northern or Coppernose BG, may help form the backbone of a selective breeding program, if they display other desireable qualities as well.

Tony your hybrids are looking good. At that rate they will be 10 or 11 inches next year coming.

You feeding them steroids, and washing them down with muscle milk? WOW!

Holy Moley! How much do you feed per day?

That's some fast growth, Tony!  How long is that fish, 7" or so?
