Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I enjoy pleasant surprises when fishing soft plastics shallow like this 15 inch Slab Crappie that was snagged on a jig/cricket combination....

LOL From the look of things, 90% of the dishes are in the good to awesome categories. I think I'll be dying happy with all those foods in me.

Lots of fruit and water....Stay active and fish like you mean it......Just had my annual physical so I'm happy with the numbers for now.....Not all my dishes are unhealthy, just the ones that taste good! LOL

And what have your heart surgeon been telling you about your heart lately with all those good foods going through your arteries? Omega 3 and 8 balanced out with the delicious flavoring you've been added? My mouth is watering!

I actually like to broil these larger filets Leo with Italian Bread Crumbs. Butter, Lemon and Parmesan Cheese.....I even like to crumble some Ritz crackers in with the cheese for some added texture.....

Thanks guys...Most of the Crappie local come out just like this one Jim...occasionally you'll catch one with a white throat and lighter body but not very often....It's not good Jeff when you're dry already as you know...It will probably take a tropical system to bring you guys back up to normal....

Great catch, Jeffrey. Fishing has been slow in these parts with most lakes going dry.

I know that is a spawning, dark male black crappie, but are all of the river crappie in your region dark like this?

Great fish, BTW!
