Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

fished from shore 1.5 hrs .Thought the overcast skies would make for a productive bite .Only six fish, all YPerch. All on the Tandem rig . None on Wobble Rite , Fiord spoons and twister tail / Rattlin' flash spoon and none on floated twister tail /squirrel tail jig. Still cant get a boat out on the water with the lake lowered .

Hm..Go to try this method out. May work pretty well on the tilapia as a crawling rig. Thanks!

Leo- I'll get a description and photo up in time but what I've been doing is :1) starting with  24" piece of 6# or 4# line ,then using a blood knot 6" down from top end of 24" section , attach a 2nd line that will be the higher jig line ,then clip off excess on higher jig.3) tie in two tube jigs and a barrel swivel  to complete rig .The jigs are about 8-12" apart . I wind the tandem rigs around cardboard ,put each one  in a plastic bag and use them as needed .The rigs  can attach ,from the barrel swivel ,to a snap swivel from the main line so if you want to change to a plug, spinner or spoon there's no extra tying needed .I've tried green/chartreuse, Black/Blue and Red tube jigs all with some moderate success but my tests have been under adverse limited casting /low water conditions .I am convinced that this will be a 'GO TO' technique when I employ it properly and have more varied access to water than currently . I've used the same idea while ice fishing  in the past but this year I am interested in the horizontal tandem approach.

Great looking YP. Unique tandem hook. Mind showing us the full tandem design?
