Thanks Ray, I make them both ways. I used the chenille cause it was sparkly and any little thing will help I figured.

Thanks Carl I'm comfortable tying these and they didn't take long at all. I'll be on vacation soon so I'll try and drowned a couple then.

Yea Dick, those will catch. You have tied these very much like I tie mine. I mostly don't cover the thread with chenille. just black or red thread and the foam is tied down just as you have done. I only do yeller but that is just me. Size 10 is my best all round but I tie a few on 8 and down to 14. Sometimes the gills will only slap at the 10 but you put a 14 in front of them and they will eat it. Great gill getters

Dick, you should have a stringer full with those and that cricket you posted earlier.  Top water bite has been smokin' lately around here.  I'll have to take Greg's advise and go subsurface with a sinking line when the water gets really warm.  Hope y'all have a  great get away with the grand kids.  Looking forward to pictures.
