This is where I go in the Summer when I get the taste for fresh catfish......no problem to grab a dozen for the frying pan.......I'd have it filled with coppernose gills if I owned it, but different strokes for different folks.....

So, heavy stocking on the cat, but not enough food for them? Time to trim down the population, and harvest them the old fashion way.

Nice catch but looks a bit undernourished.

I agree Ken.....caught a hundred out of here in recent years and they are all 1 to 4 pounds......for five acres, I'm amazed that there are some decent gills in this body of water.....I've caught pound class gills for eight years in a row...kind of why I always hit it a couple times.....the owners like catfish thus tons of channel cats with no feeding....

From the size of the ones you are catching,it makes you think there is a ton of them in that pit.
