Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Looks like another World Record Redear was caught from Lake Havasu again. This one weighed 5.80 lbs, and was caught yesterday, while the old record was 5.55 lbs and was taken also at Havasu on May 2nd, 2011.
That's a BIG sunfish when it close to being a 6 pounder!
Don't know the anglers name or what he used yet, but I'm sure that info will be out soon.

I say go for it Jeff!! You could have the next world record!

So maybe if I go there and find out what areas these big REs have been caught at, and I "bait and wait"  with fresh Quagga Mussles for bait, maybe I too could catch into a 5 pound Redear!  Seriously, I really would like to go there and do some hard fishing just for trophy Redear.  It's only about 250 miles from here..

Congratulations Hector!  Sometimes just sitting back having a good time soaking night crawlers can yield a fish of a lifetime.

Lake Havasu, what a great sustainable fishery, you have a good chance at this world record fish here however, it's not as easy as you may think, most of these big crackers have been accidental catches meaning they were not targeted.
